According to CEN news published on May 18, 2010 mentioned that MPCT Cambodia made the announcement for the first quarter of 2010 that the number of mobile phone subscribers increased to 7.1 million users and the number of user increase every year. In late 2009, MPTC also released a report saying that the mobile phone subscriber at the end of 2009 was 6.3 millions which increased from 3,8 million users in 2008. 7.1 million subscribers is half a number to the total population of the whole country 14.7 million in 2010.
Until today, there are 9 mobile phone operators/provides in the kingdom to provide services in mobile texting, calling, video and internet access such as Mobitel, Metfone ( Vietell ), Hello, Mfone, Star Cell, Beeline, Smart Mobile, QB and Excell mobile phone service providers.
The report of this phone subscribers was announced in “Telecommunication and ICT World” held in May 18, 2010 at MPTC Phnom Penh. The celebration mean to increase the awareness of using the latest mobile technology, internet technology in the purposes of social and economic development and to cut off the distance in digital life.
While the number of subscribers increased the business in selling mobile phone and smart mobile phone made their business go well and very profitable and the user also enjoy chasing after new latest products and services from these latest technology toward expanding knowledge and accessibility to modern life.

Recently, I just heard a mobile phone company offer a cordless landline phone which they can move around easily. I never knew that a landline phone can move like this and only mobile phone that we can bring around anywhere to talk under their coverage areas.
It’s just very surprise that I knew it late than everyone else out there for they are so fast to get the know stuffs like this but me. I only knew only 2 companies offer their services to setup landline from MPTC and Camintel, but just happen to know one more from Metphone or Viettell they offer this service too with the cordless phone call methome.
That’s coll, I like to see more and I believe there are few other companies do this, it’s just the matter of I am not an updated person.
I hope people feel more excited about this and enjoy the benefit of connecting while recently ministry of information banning unappropriated adverstising related to encouraging people to talk more on the phone. That’s right talk more on the phone is not good but is this the priority? lolz
Anyway, we are all enjoy what we have now with many mobile phone companies we can choose from, so we spend less money. I love to spend less too so I can save more haha. Buying unlimited calling is better but it cannot apply in the work environment since in business use different networks. And mostly unlimited call available only within network call.
I hope you enjoy the cordless landline phone network. I am not using it anyway, but at work…
