Getting to Know Computer
I came to know computer since was in high school that was 10 years+ ago back in 1998 very computer training in Cambodia. I learned to process windows in command lines to jump start to windows. At the same time, I learned how to operate microsoft words and microsoft excel. I was really excited when I got my name printed from a computer printer in that year. I used it as my name tag for my high school year. Imagine how awesome it was having a name printed by printer from a computer technology. Wow, it was really cool yoh. I kept that name tag for more than 10 years and I just happened to throw it away few months ago.
Computer as a Learner
After my high school year in 1999, I just wanted to operate computer effectively as I wish so I applied to study computer science at the university. I found the subject interesting although I didn’t do well during my first year. With my curiosity about computer I knew how to use it and work with them better.
For all those years, I imagine to create a website but no chance to get a website host from cambodia. It was so expensive even using internet so I gave up many times.
Starting a blog/website
4 years ago, i started with creating blog with few free blog hosts and free website hosting services and then with this one piseth.info. I maintain it until now and I could say I learned a lot from managing this small web blog. I first using assistant blog from blogger to host blog on this website and then later on I learn to use wordpress until I was able to setup a wordpress system. Now, I run this website using wordpress blog which ease me a lot in posting and writing new articles.
I am not worry about coding with wordpress system with just few clicks to install I can get it works. Currently in this web blog contains almost 2000 articles. Can you guess how long did it takes me to write all these posts?…roughly since July 2007.
Why Personal Website Matter?
Going back to my original talk about personal website a matter for me. As some REASONS i want to show up on search engines that people can search and see me what I am doing. Now, I can express or write anything to spread out to the world and not just from one country can view this article on my website but from around the globe.
That is the biggest reason I want to have a personal website up running to keep communication and interaction with my visitor and more I get to know more friends even though we never met before to bring friendship and networking as well as sharing knowledge and experiences as I learned the most from you guys as my visitors.
