    Business Internet Café Slow Down While ISP competing in Cambodia

    For those individual and family who are willing to pay around 5000riel to 6000riel for home internet usage with unlimited package mean to drop the number of internet café user in Phnom Penh. If you think about starting a business setting up an internet café then you might want to loop your thinking all over again to discover where is the best place to settle down your shop.

    A tourist resorts may still require internet café. I can be a good testimony back in a few years ago I used internet café a lot but not now. At the present I can use internet at work, at home and with mobile internet just to keep my tweet post and as well as checking email etc.

    “Is Insurance Worth Buying in Cambodia?” 

    Insurance is not so popular among people in Cambodia. Only businesses and not-profit organizations found to be clients to the Insurance Companies in PP.

    Some other clients like for those who own a nice car, and it is an obligation to buy insurance for car. But it seems like the motorbike is not required to buy the insurance. And I don’t buy insurance for my motorbike too.

    In order to buy the insurance, we have to think about a few things that need to compare first before getting the insurance right a way without any quotation or comparison.

    • Get quotation is the best way to compare the cost or premium cost
    • What are the benefit that the company offers
    • Check around if the company response well to deal with issue or accident that happened to their clients in the past.
    • Check if the company is trust-able

    Anyone knows how many percentage of Cambodian using insurance for their health insurance, accident insurance and other type of insurance lately?

    I’m sure for those who work for medium to big companies they have insurance for you and as well as most NGOs working in Cambodia.

    From your point of view what is a better insurance company we should go with in this country?

    Attitude Toward Driving in Cambodia 

    Many people have very good attitude driving on the road in Cambodia and they make it all go well. Managing the attitude toward driving is the important key to show respect to other people’s life and gain respect from others too.

    And you know how much you hurt when other treat you bad? And why you need other people bad while you are driving? You don’t own anything belong to the public because you are better, with power, with gang attitude, with education, with money but all you have to do is to respect other people.

    So you know how much you hurt other people when you act very bad on the road especially when you drive so fast in the city and go crazy on the road without respecting the traffic rules.

    When I say traffic rule, I don’t have to mention it because every know what is the traffic rule is. In order to keep the road in well order, we all have to respect the traffic rules as said in the traffic law.

    Traffic light is another important that we all have to respect. When people almost reach the traffic light and they see it goes slowly red, I don’t know why many people just try to go faster and faster. And this is how they are about going to die soon in the road accident if anything happen. And those are not worthy attitude to respect. People like this are those who want to harm other people life and harming themselves.

    This morning (Aug 14, 2009) while I was driving on the road reaching the corner of Olympic water tank traffic light I turned right driving from Deumkor market. At the corner of the road after I turned right, I came at the place where they put the road divider in the middle of the road.

    I was so shocked that this luxus car just made a quick turn from the oposit way of driving and take the road where I was suppose to go. And this guy just press horn and horn and horn. He is violating the traffic rule and horning me to go off my way. What such a stupid guy horning with his damm driving taking other people driving way. Very stupid guy. And this guy luxus car didn’t have the number plate on it. What such a mess! Can’t believe what he did. He was driving alone and I think he is just one of the body guard or driver of one of the rich guy. Come on you are just slave to the rich don’t be so proud at yourself.

    Damm you a driver of luxus car without number plate driving other people road this morning. I pray you’ll die ugly on the road accident haha.

    I just hate it when people drive without respecting the rule especially those who…(you can fill in the blank here) :)

      If the drivers have good attitude during their driving in the public street, The number of road accident decreased. By by contrast the number of fatal accident is still increasing, even the traffic police take strongly action against the drivers without helmets and motorbikes without mirror.

      Last Saturday, while i was driving, moto-dup hit behind my motorbike but driver did not say “Sorry” or something to me. and then he drove away. Fortunately, My motorbike was damaged badly. if driver should say “Sorry”, the dispute will not happened. There are many matters i meed while driving in PP.

    Tons of Heavy CV with certificates 

    I don’t know what the problem with some (many actually) job seekers whether they learned it at school or by themselves. If learned it from school then damm it, they sent so many big big files along with their certificates which made up to more than 5mb of files and I met this guy which I don’t want to mention it here.

    He just made it so annoying sending a job application with his cv, covering letter and certificates and the file is up to 11MB. If it is you what are you going to give a lesson to this guy? He start to bring in some trouble for the company already with his big files before he enters the company. So I just forgot about this guys throw him away into the trash. Can’t imagine those guys who sent in big files with certificate.

    Just make a warning for those who apply for a job online or send by email if not heard from the employer asking anything don’t try to send something big in unless asked. Just curriculum vitae and covering letter are enough.

    Cordless Landline Phone

    Recently, I just heard a mobile phone company offer a cordless landline phone which they can move around easily. I never knew that a landline phone can move like this and only mobile phone that we can bring around anywhere to talk under their coverage areas.

    It’s just very surprise that I knew it late than everyone else out there for they are so fast to get the know stuffs like this but me. I only knew only 2 companies offer their services to setup landline from MPTC and Camintel, but just happen to know one more from Metphone or Viettell they offer this service too with the cordless phone call methome.

    That’s coll, I like to see more and I believe there are few other companies do this, it’s just the matter of I am not an updated person.

    I hope people feel more excited about this and enjoy the benefit of connecting while recently ministry of information banning unappropriated adverstising related to encouraging people to talk more on the phone. That’s right talk more on the phone is not good but is this the priority? lolz

    Anyway, we are all enjoy what we have now with many mobile phone companies we can choose from, so we spend less money. I love to spend less too so I can save more haha. Buying unlimited calling is better but it cannot apply in the work environment since in business use different networks. And mostly unlimited call available only within network call.

    I hope you enjoy the cordless landline phone network. I am not using it anyway, but at work…

    Watch Now "Hells Kitchen Season 6 episode 3" 

    Quickest way to watch a snapshot of view from the video on internet is usually from the video sharing website where people use it for advertising purposes so and so.

    For growing or attraction video showing of the products is very success.  Imagine how many people watch the video online everyday. Amazing that people spend time to watch something instead of doing something.

    Hells Kitchen Season 6 episode 3 in the new season with the new episode draw thousand and thousand of attention with million of eyes to watch it. I don’t know if you saw this one yet. If not then just check out from the links provided in this post. Cheers

    Tele Marketing in PP

    I am not a marketing person nor learning any related to marketing courses or subjects. But recently, just happened to see many companies and services in PP starting to look into the new ways of doing their marketing spreading words of their products and services.

    It is sure this direct marketing return a great result from the prospect or their targets clients and customers. It is odd but works well that is why people of new brain businesses using them.

    I have no ideas of how they get the phone number of the clients but I got seversal too in the past few months until now. Unlucky for them that they cannot turn me as their prospect customer. But I choose something or other services and product just for my own sakes and judgement that I think It worth to go for it.

    Did you happen to experience with tele marketing yet in PP?

      I used to get mobile phone ads by glasses shop because i am the client of this shop. when i bought the glasses the first time, they required me to tell them my personal information. When there are some promotion, they send it to me as SMS. you got ads thru your phone, maybe you used to fulfill your information to companies.
