Your Passion? People sakes or your own sakes?
Are you saying that you are helping other people to grow? My just looking at ourselves and doing our own practice from our culture is not enough yet. We need to learn and understand from other culture aspects as well. That is about the world view.
Every year, there are many missionaries are send to help the underdeveloped country from the developed country. Some of those people are not capable to work very well in other countries or in the new working environment.
But when coming to work in these third world countries they mend to put themselves higher as they believe their countries status is far better. In realistic most of them don’t like the local people to whom they work with. But they say, i like to come here to help people in this country.
Is that their passion to do so? Do they really desire to help people or just do it for their own sakes? I wish they would reflect themselves before they do so.
Of course, in the developed country people get better education. But is it enough? They don’t have enough knowledge of the culture from other countries. In this case do they capable to work well in the other country? The answer must be know, because people can’t do everything the same in other country as their own country. What they in their country is correct but it doesn’t mean right to the other corners.
Only local people can do best. So if you are willing to come and work in other country, you must be willing to sacrify yourself. Not to do it just because of your own sakes.
Some other case like, just the internship student they can become the boss while the absence of the appointed director or something similar to this. Then, it stats to create many problem in the work place. People should avoid this. Not just trust your people but trust other people. Everyone is at the same status. Knowledge and skill and be improve. That is the fruits of transforming culture. People sakes or your own sakes?
