The Sunshine Centre for Children is a Christian Care for Cambodia (CCFC) project in Boeung Tompun, serving poor families and promoting appropriate care for children in the context of families in community. We work by supporting the education of children, providing a centre for children that is healthy, safe, fun and supportive; enabling families to nurture and care for each other; and wholistically addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual, social and creative needs of children.

Position: FAMILY WELFARE OFFICER

Purpose: to work closely with the families of the children of the Sunshine Centre to enable them to grow in their parental responsibilities. This would involve regularly visiting the families, working with the Project Director and Education Advisor and networking with local resources and NGOs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years working with communities and families
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience in working as part of a team
  • Tertiary education or equivalent
  • Qualifications or experience in community development
  • Fluency in Khmer and English
  • Computer literate and able to produce reports
  • An understanding of community development issues in Cambodia

Women are strongly recommended to apply, preferably Christian and older than 30 years.
