Cleft Lip Surgery – Phang Lin
Mrs. Phea and her husband lives in Krosang village where locates east of Phnom Penh city. Mrs. Phea has three children, two girls, one boy; Mrs. Phea was so sad with her third child who was born with left-cleft lip. Since she gave a birth of Lin, she was shameful with neighbor; Mrs. Phea did not take Lin out of public.
The family would have never been able to get Lin’s cleft lip fixed, but they did not have money for the surgery. They are yam farmer. Mrs. Phea earns two dollars a day planting yam in neighbor’s farm.
One day they met local pastor who was visited her village. Mrs. Phea heard CBN’s cleft lip project. This brought new hope to Mrs. Phea and Lin. Lin met CBN’s staff and they arranged for Lin’s free surgery at a hospital in Phnom Penh.
Following the successful surgery little boy, Lin gets a new beautiful smile. Lin is so happy. Her parents and grandma are very excited for him.
Mrs. Phea expresses her gratefulness, “I would like to thank CBN and donors who provide this help from far distance. Thanks for sharing your love, to care for my son is like caring for my family. I live in remote village, you still help me and it is the first time when I enter city. I am glad that you change my son’s life to look normal with lovely smiles. Thank you!”
